8月21日 In the bookstore Like every beginning of the semester, I got ripped off by the bookstores around campus. They just ask for whatever price occurs to their mind. I got the feeling that I will be broke pretty soon if they won't lower down the price for books and course packets a little bit. But people are just really tolerant of their blackmail.Every bookstore is stuffed with people waiting in long line. I heard some interesting conversation. A boy wants some books on entomology and philosophy. It is weird that people could study these two at the same time. The cashier seems to have the same doubt:"Philosophy 232? Boy, you are going to have your life ruined!" I have to agree that his words are unfortunately true. It will not be a normal life if a man lets philosophy occupy his mind. I am not a person of philosophy. But I read some interesting stuff in it.I admit that if I read them too long, I will speak something really absurd in the common conversation, and some times startle my friend a lot. They just think I am talking non-sense or out of my mind. In fact I am quite self-conscious of what I am talking about. It is just the way I put them makes people think that I try to speak some profound theory, which I never did. But people will say that nobody want to admit that they are talking like mania, just like no one wants to admit their mental illness imposed upon them. It is in this way people are setting up prison for each other. Misunderstanding is the biggest prison in the world. 评论 (3)
